#2 Herschel Walker Georgia Bulldogs Original Comic Print

Sale price Price $22.00 Regular price Unit price  per

The year was 1980, at a game in Knoxville, TN on a September night where Herschel Walker had his coming out party. The Dawgs were losing 15-2 and clearly outmatched, until they put in the true freshman Walker where the momentum quickly shifted to the Georgia Bulldogs. Herschel ran loose and pulverized defenders, finding the endzone twice to help win the ballgame 16-15. A true hero of the game. This poster creatively commemorates Herschel Walker’s arrival into the SEC: as a superhero! The artwork features several Easter Eggs that only the true fans would know. Here are a few of them: - Herschel standing on Bill Bates (#40) - The infamous red britches worn during that game - Architectural structures of Knoxville - Larry Munson’s famous calls See how many you can find! The comic book cover print was hand illustrated by me (Frate!) in honor of my Georgia Bulldog in-laws (yep, I married into a crazy SEC family!). I wanted to find a creative way to combine sports figures and comic books, two things I love. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. This high-quality print comes on luscious matte paper and excellent for framing. It is available in 3 sizes and is the perfect addition for the Georgia Bulldog fan that has everything, or the new fan looking to start their collection.
