About Big Norm
Meet “Big Norm”, the big man that roamed campus since the school’s transition in 1949 from the Owls. Big Norm takes on the traditional bully stance, walking with his head held high and chest out, ready to take on any competitor. Most schools adopted this style logo in the 1940s, with some still showcasing their bully logos today (like NC State, Oregon, Notre Dame and Wisconsin). The logo was illustrated by Frate when he was bored during being quarantined during the pandemic, and is not affiliated with the Charlotte 49ers.

He currently is the senior creative director for LendingTree and runs this shop as a hobby. He has a huge passion for sports and a little sense of style, so here we are…and we hope you enjoy!
